How many currencies does this bill counter support?

What is the difference between BC-40 and BC-55?

A. BC-55 almost has no currency capacity limitation, BC-40 can support 4 different currencies at most
B. BC-55 has serial number reading function but BC-40 does not have
C. BC-55 has two CIS and is more stronger in counterfeit detection

Can I use BC-40 to sort mixed denomination bills?

Yes, under SDC mode, the machine counts and sorts the first denomination it recognizes, will stop to remind when detects different denominations.
BCS-160 two pockets money sorter would be a better choice for currency sorting, it has a reject pocket to hold other denomination bills and counterfeit notes, so it does not stop during counting and improve the money handling efficiency.

Can you upgrade the software if new bill released?

I Wish it was easier to get the amount that you are counting and go up to 300 or 400

Thank you for your suggestion.
In order to ensure the smooth counting, our BC-40 will stop counting when bills reach up to 200 pieces each time. If the hopper contains 300 pieces bills or more, bills cannot pass the machine and fall into the hopper smoothly but stuck in the machine. Therefore our machine will stop counting when the hopper contains 200 pieces bills. But if you remove the 200 pieces bills stack in the hopper, the machine will continue counting the remaining bills and keep calculating, also show the total amount and pieces unless you press the “clear” button. So you can still get the total amount of 300 or 400 pieces bills or more, the only thing you need to do is removing the bills in the hopper when the machine stop counting.

Works well, does the job

We have had it a couple of months, really like the speed and features this unit provides. Great for our small business, takes min of 15 minutes off our morning and evening close and no finger pointing on counting accuracy. Estimate will pay for itself in 3-4 months.
Things we find we really like about the unit:
You can load the bills in manual mode and it will wait until you press a button for the count, our other unit grabbed the bills as you were putting them in the hopper and sometimes would misfeed if you didn't let go exactly at the right time.
You can do mixed counting, so we load up all the bills, it'll count them and tell you total and number of bills, you push a button and it will tell you exactly how many 100's, 50's 20's 10's ... were counted.
You can do batch counting, it will count a multiple (say qty 10, 20, 25 etc) of a single denomination, this will also stop if for example a 5 gets mixed in somewhere with the 20's, very handy to make sure no over or undercount.

A huge helper

As a landlord, I got more houses done for renting, and when they pay me cash.... You know how bank tellers are. "I want to withdraw $1000", they give you some weird combination stack of everything, y'know 35 ones, 13 fives.... oh please.

When we had a few renters, I'd ask them to ask for large bills. Only once did that happen. After a while, my business grew and my thumb and brain got a workout no gym-trainer had ever seen.

I searched and searched and decided on this money counter. Now I can't wait to use it. Just stick it in, and it just goes. Doesn't matter if it's upside down, backwards, frontwards, accurate every time. If the bill is excessively folded, it'll stop and tell you, you fix it and do it again... you know those 20-year olds.

I really love using it, just put in the stack, fla-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.... and it's done. It tells you the grand total, press a button and it tells you how many bills for each denomination (I tested it when I got it), accurate every time.

I recommend it, and huge time saver.
